Yep, I'm going to flatter myself a little bit here.
Assuming anyone is interested enough to keep tabs, I'm going to go ahead and lay out how I'm hoping to do things and what that means both for this project and for this blog. If you actually read this, let alone anything that follows it... I love you a little bit.
So here's the thing. Or, really, the things.
- I'm currently living in Japan, studying Japanese language. I'm a beginner, and not a very good student. At all.
- I'm also working for my consultancy in the US, so part of my already-limited free time is necessarily dedicated to keeping clients happy. Fortunately, this is old hat, but it does still mean I have only so much time to put into The RPG.
- In addition to being a poor student, I have no sense of time, in particular how much of it I waste. It's... a lot.
With all that in mind, I've set myself up with a good schedule, and assuming I follow it, this project should be getting about 10-12 hours a week of attention. At that rate, it's not going to break the top charts any time soon, but there's enough relatively low-effort work to be done that it should provide for at very least weekly updates.
As soon as possible I'll start with screenshots, since honestly, that's something I expect from a game development blog. It's just something that would be profoundly boring right now since nothing interesting is going on visually yet.
